Full Version: i need a socket 775 chip
thats all i need... i bought a p5kpl-cm and need a chip for it, does not have to be super fast, just cheap. only for a HT box.

P4 775 or C2D chip ?
whats the diff? lol i dunno.. one that suits the above board.
i think berger means Core 2 Duo "C2D" or do you want a pentium 4?
the p5kpl-cm can run BOTH. 
If you want a basic cheap as chips processor, get an old s775 P4 from a swapmeet or ebay, wont cost you more than $40-50
But the board could also take a brand new C2D processor which you could get from any store.

hmmm... we sure dont have swapmeets in warrnambool. Although a pc store than has same pricing as msy.. so might shop there friday

ive got a p4 775 2.8 giggly goos you could slap in there cheap

Just make sure its not 533 fsb, those chips wont work in that board
