Instead of having CS:GO as a 5v5, have CS:S for it instead. CS:S is much, much, much better for competitive play and a much better game overall than CS:GO.
Not to mention CS:GO already has Gun Game mode built into it.
Just my advice.

Yeah I acknowledge that, can you give a bit more "Why" it's much much better?
Both have similar physics and the like? So I'm trying to figure it out.

I would also like for cs:s to become the main for 5v5 as everyone is used to the spread patterns of the bullets and recoil of cs:s, cs:go just feels weird. By all means use cs:go for gungame but for 5v5 it just isn't right

The problem with using CS:S for GG is that patches have a bad habit of breaking the mod overlay.
Given CS:S doesn't see as many, I can't see it as a problem but I'll gladly talk to someone who used to administer the Monash:GG server and get their thoughts as its something they're an expert on.
But I do understand the recoil/bullet pattern.

I'm the opposite and would rather CS:GO be used for both 5v5 and GG. As long as it can be managed just as accurately. Figured I'd just throw in my opinion.
The recoil/spray pattern argument is a but of a dud imo because if you don't know it, take the time to learn it. It doesn't make the one you know better for competitive it just makes it something different that you now have to learn. Sounds like the Windows 7 vs Windows 8 argument all over again.

Well so far the discussion is CS:S GG rather than CS:GO AR so it looks like I'll ask the server team to put together a CS:S GG server for me.

CSGO all the way for me thanks. CSS felt somehow cheap and dodgy to me. Yes I am simply talking about aesthetics here, pre-baked lighting looked really crap. Game-play wise, I still prefer CSGO anyway.
