Hi all,
As some of you already know, we have a special section currently reserved for the Starcraft II tournament.
If you plan on participating in this tournament, you will probably want to sit there with the other SC2 players.
Prizes are:
1st place: Shock Spin HD headset ($79) + $200 cash
2nd place, Theron Gaming Mouse ($80) + 100 cash
3rd: White-Ra Mouse Pad ($26)
POST IN THIS THREAD and let us know if you would like one of these seats. They are limited as are places in the competition but we'll see what we can do if demand is very high.
People who wants seats there:
Montycarlo
Bearpack
pimaster
Sanjuro
Zunbacker
Pwndoricus

Hi,
You don't; however it's recommended that you do to be part of the fun! It's just going to be a better experience. After the tournament is over, you can sit there and continue to play SC2

Both myself and Montycarlo (prepaying in the next couple of days -we're gonna be in Sydney for the cyber league championships this weekend) would love some seats in this area. I can't imagine us playing another game for the entirety of the event.

I was looking at taking part in the competition but wasn't wanting to move over to those tables. Can I still take part or is it only if your sitting there?

I have no idea what the skill level is going to be, but I want in. Put me on the special table.
I did book a seat on the other thread so you can free up L29 if I get on the Sc2 table

Of course you don't need to sit there to compete in the tournament! This competition is reasonably high profile so we're just setting aside the area as most StarCraft II players will want to sit together.

Will the Internet be able to support us playing Starcraft for the entire duration of the weekend? Or just the tournament?

Hey, I'd love to be seated in the SC2 section, If possible next to Montycarlo or nearby
.
Just wondering if there is any consideration being taken as to improve the quality of the network connection for starcraft 2 players, given that at previous respawns we have had issues connecting until many people leave (and thus disconnect from steam)?
If not, it might be worthwhile to maybe let people know so they can organise to tether their phones or setup some alternative internet connection for themselves so they can play with stability?
Thanks for the consideration.

I'm sure zardoz has a trick up his sleeve. They don't host these things without a plan.

We're putting in a few special measures that should ensure the SC2 tournament runs smoothly. As usual, we can't guarantee nothing will go wrong, but gosh darnit, we're going to do everything in our powers to make sure it's an A+ experience.

So you're going to spray ink over all the comp players?
Sounds like win.

No; this event was a few months ago and this thread should probably be unpinned.
