Is there anyway to find out if you're running the right drivers for every bit of hardware? Windows is way too unreliable

Go the manufacturers website and update yourself.

Are there any programs that can scan and check for new versions? its such a pain in the ass googling around all the time
Jagster
Or u can try using Device Manager.

just google it or as posted go to manufacturers web site as they have some tools that can auto search for all the drivers
also you would not be able to use the drivers if they where wrong

hope this helps you out
