Introducing the return of Melbourne's most popular LAN gaming event - Respawn LAN v5: the haunted house.

And we're doing a dress-up comp to get into the theme a bit.

Registration is now open. We are using our own registration system to resolve some issues gamers have had with AusGamers and to provide better integration with our EMS so that we can improve your experience during the event.

What time will the dota comp start? also the latest dota map version just came out and currently has a few bugs with the new heros. Not sure if it would be fair to use this map for the tourney otherwise people will be using the bugs to win. Hopefully an update to the new version will come out before the lan

Im not currently happy with the newest version of DOTA, being 6.44 so if there is not a more balanced version released we will be using whatever the offcial tournament version of DOTA is from the DOTA Allstars website. I'm hoping a newer tournament version or non-tournament version comes out before the lan.

just letting everyone know that ill be running a teamspeak server for any teams that wish to use it. (if the admins dont have an issue with this)

We might be running a server of our own, however.

Also could you tell us the average time that the css comp will start / end?

CS:S should start on Saturday afternoon around 4-5pm with a break around 8pm ish for the pizza run and then we'll continue the competition after dinner. I'd suggest you turn up earlier though, around 12pm at the latest so you can set up your pc play a few maps etc as well as sign up for the competition and organise your team.

personally i suggest you head out to a PC store and acquire a network cable prior to the lan...
i can't promise that we will have network cables for sale... but just incase...

i suggest you also get a cable that is atleast 10m long...

It wont, Quake Wars has been delayed by Activision for release accross the globe, probably not till the end of the year or possibly next year.
