Respawn LAN Forums _ General Stuff _ AFK & FUN COMPS @v15

Posted by: Tank Jan 14 2010, 05:32 PM

So i thought i would make a nice little tidy announcement! (cause, like, y'know, i don't make ENOUGH! haha!)

So myself and Spite have come up with some pretty awesome ideas for our 10 years anniversary union hall lanning experience!

We've got some old goodies like IRON GUT! (nomnomnomnnomBLEARGHnomnomnom), PIN THE TAIL (on something hollywoody), PING PONG! and of course, POKER! (perhaps even with our master dealer himself!)

As well as some new awesome challenges!

We've got our sweaty little hands on the boardgame RISK, as well as an ingenious new compition revlving around MSPAINT! (which i know isn't really 'AFK' but well.. it's away from KEYBOARD! so nyer.)

I might even thinking about bringing back an old classic, TWISTER, and maybe even something from one of the very first respawn, WHEELIE CHAIR RACES! (which would be run on a union-hall wheelie chair for propserity and fairness.)

We will also probably run a bit of a cat-wlk and competition for people who DRESS UP! so get dressing! Dress up as your favorite Hollywood Movie star, or Actor! (as in character or actor)

I hope this will be enough fun-filled action for all!

Hugs, Tank (and her awesome kick-ass side-kick Spite.)

Sounds awesome, can't wait to see what the MSPAINT one is going to be about.

Yeah I know. BTW I have the classic version, charity version, onyx edition (it's wooden) and the card game. I would also have the simpsons version if I didn't opt for the simpsons board game instead.

What kind of Poker do you run?
And at what time?
Would it be running at the saem time as comps?

There's a few, none are (legally) free, good and online multi-player IMHO.

Whats with the 3D in half of them? It's a board game, why cant they keep it simple, 2D and fun.
