Yo

I know its short notice people but im putting up a quick pre lan poll.

The flatout 2 comp is running saturday, and the prize is.... pretty good this time round so, what do you racers want to do for the comp

Race?
Derby?
Both?

or gimme a suggestion

At this stage i am considering a race and derby challenge, havent ironed out the details as of yet.

Race and Derby sound good! What version of flatout is needed? I have flatout 2 installed straight off the disc.

I believe thats how most people at V6 had flatout2, unpatched

so we will prob use unpatched as the version for the comp, easier that way smile.gif

Tell me what you think

8 people per server (obviously)
each server has 1 race and 1 derby
depending on how many people we have total, either the winner each event or first and second from each event get into the grand final

which is a 10 lap epic crashfest in crash alley

winner takes all

If you have any other suggestions on how we could make a derby/race comp work, im all ears smile.gif

I don't know... I'm no big fan of crash alley. But I guess that adds a sense of randomness as to who wins. And I'm all for car class restrictions (or any car not labeled as special (that means you flatmobile people)). But give us some warning on the car class for some practice please...

Personally I would prefer proper race tracks for racing, but that's just me.

Look forward to seeing you all there

Edit: And no car class restrictions in Derby biggrin.gif

All for race only comp but that heavily favours people who play it a lot.. randomness ftw

I'd prefer the tourny to be race only. But I guess we'll have to wait and see

LOTUK, the crash alley i am using as a final, mainly because it is... in some respects the best of both worlds
i was struggling to think how i could make it fairly even for derby people and racing people, having a comp with both involved. I am however completly open to suggestions on how we could accomplish this another way, e.g. another track perhaps?

There will be proper race tracks in the first event however smile.gif

Hey R4n, don't worry about me. I can see that it's a great idea and very well thought of as a way to finish a mixed tourney.

So keep on with your plan as it will allow more people to play.

See you there
