Next event:	Just a FYI, though, doing this does actually work - it's part of the PCI-e spec that a card should operate with any amount of PCI-e lanes. I've done it, and it's a really handy trick if you only have PCI-e 1x lanes free. Just... neither guys in this story actually know what they're talking about or how to achieve it...
