official thread to post specs of the computers you own (only ones you own or are taking to the next lan.) i dont want this turned into an "im better than you thread" just show off what you got.
you may leave comments but nothing rude or abusive. if you are going to say that something is crap leave a reason WHY it is crap
links and thumbnails only please. any fullsize pics will be edited and made into a link.

No actually TMM there are holes underneath those fans so they blow right onto the back of the motherboard cooling down the mobo and the CPU as well as various other parts.

WOOT!! just thought id show off my newly aquired beast (yes, it is mine, used at home) Dual Opteron 250 (E4 stepping) 4x 1GB ATP DDR400 REG ECC Tyan Thunder K8SD S2882-D (onboard video, onboard dual gigabit + 100mbit) 1x Dualport Intel 1000pro pci-x 1x Highpoint RR 1820A pci-x 8x Seagate sata150 7200.8 300gb 1x Seagate 'cuda IV 80GB 1x pci soundcard and now for some pics: front of the case no removable media drives. cdrom attached when required. bios main screen whats that? *sniff* i think i smell victory! overview an overview of the mobo and case close up a close inspection of the motherboard power cables the lovely tangle of power cables. just about every kind and quite long indeed. the psu specs of the PSU psu voltages voltage of the system at idle comparison of the psu (bottom) to the stackers PSU cage (top) it may not be obvious but the psu is actualy a little bit longer than the psu cage in teh CM Stacker STC-T01 (aka original) and thus makes it way too long to fit up the top. rear of psu all business back here the computer running during OS installation WHIIRRR!! its loud and im proud! for those that are a mite observant, yes, there is indeed 4 gigabit ports (and one 100mbit) havent got it folding... YET.. will get it folding eventualy. team24 fold on!

Got another 2 30cm CCFL's off Miniwalks now that he has changed to a stacker. They are those nifty Revision 2 ones which can be either on, off or sound activated.

I've ripped the heatspreaders off every set of ram that i have (except my current set because i can't get the buggers off) as they just insulate the heat. They should have named them heat-trappers instead .

QUOTE(LolSauce @ Jun 21 2007, 01:21 AM) OHHH, what mouse pad is that!? Thats what I need It's an Everglide Titan Best fabric mousepad evar! Has just the right amount of smoothness/friction. A little pricey ($35 I think) but it's totally worth it. I think you need a bigger desk for it though

I'll look into getting one of these for sure!

^I've been on this rig, he uses inbuilt speakers which of course sound like absolute anus. Also Realtek 7.1 isn't a component XD
Edit: My specs are an Athlon two thousand and something that's been underclocked 'cos of a lack of thermal paste that I got from a friend, FX 5500 I also got from a friend, 512mb RAM, DVD-R I found in the dump, 15" LCD I've had for years, 4.1 speakers bought off next door neighbour which only takes a 2-channel input for some reason. With 200gb and... 60gb I think it was hard drives. In a vanilla case. Needless to say I need an upgrade.

I can possibly give you my case but putting it all together is going to make a huge hassle because it's a huge ass time taker

QUOTE(Zardoz @ Jul 3 2006, 09:26 PM) Pentium Pro 200 (256KB L2 core) 64MB EDO 60ns RAM 4.3GB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM ultrawide SCSI HDD Adaptec 2940UW SCSI controller yamaha 4x write, 6x read CD burner 2x Voodoo2 12MB cards in SLI SB AWE64 Gold ..should I bring it to respawn? Damn, the dual Voodoo2's,and SCSI setup beats my old P200 (with MMX!) configuration. Up until a week ago that was my main machine since the AthlonXP 1800+ stopped booting a few months earlier Over the last few months I researched many upgrade paths and settled on this midrange setup: - Asus M2N-X motherboard
- AMD AM2 X2 4000+ (rated 2.1GHz)
- 2GB kit of Corsair Value ram, 667MHz operating frequency.
- Donated nVidia 7300LE, 512mb DDR2.
As expected, it met my design criteria of at least a 50% improvement over the last machine. Planned upgrade to the VGA is a 7600GT, for a total system cost of $380. A Counter Strike Source VGA stress test showed about 59 FPS at 1024x768, max quality, no anti-aliasing. Approximately 30 FPS better than the last machine, and I have yet to update the VGA, so I'm very happy with this setup I'll be running the PCMark benchmark to put a number on that improvement. Operating systems: OS/2, Windows 98SE and Windows 2000, though Windows 98SE craps out on startup due to "Insufficient Memory". I am investigating a registry edit which should allow 98 to boot. There are just some old games that run better on 98SE, such as Recoil Oh, and I'll be bringing the P200 as well. With a new 48bit LBA IDE card, it should make an excellent file server.

the 60g is my mp3 drive and the 80g is for my o/s both are 7200rpm im a tight ass so when they die ill replace them. i have a quantum fireball in 1 of other systems still going strong.
Planing on Fan moding my X1950pro with a Tt DuOrb, The Tt lanbox is a hotbox , would be ok for systems that ant overclocked. As is iv had to drop the VGA clock due to the heat . looking to build a new system to play with 45nm would be nice , have yet to find a release date.

ty, its a work in progress... case is a Thermaltake Soprano (the older model) with some perfect light neons, the plasma disc on the front i got from Prof Bunsen's store (based in geelong). Unfortunately I dont think they have them in stock anymore. i want to create an enclosure for the fan and add some more neons and led case fans, etc

i've grown out of case modding. In 2004 i had a Thermalcake lanfire which i blinged to billio....
since then i bought a CM Stacker and bought a window for it and put UV neons in it with cable sleeving, but now i only mod for cooling. i modded 2 x 120mm fans in the side, and a 120mm fan in the top - i have black cable sleeving that came with the psu, and no bling to speak of.

why that board? Why not something like an EX38-DQ6? Do you need 64-bit pci lanes for a raid controller or something? I think i have heard that the pci lanes on that board have problems. Someone on ocau had issues with his raid array not being as fast as it should.
